Cartiga has donated $100,000 to the Innocence Project and become one of its prominent corporate sponsor and an advocates. This donation will aid in the Project’s great work exonerating wrongly convicted individuals.

The Innocence Project represents clients seeking post-conviction DNA testing to prove their innocence. It also consults on a number of cases on appeal in which the defendant is represented by primary counsel and provides information and background on DNA testing litigation. To date, 375 people in the United States have been exonerated by DNA testing, including 21 who served time on death row.

Cartiga supports the Innocence Project’s work not only with money, but with pro bono services to support some of its operations. This pro bono support underscores Cartiga’s commitment with the Innocence Project to equal access to justice and a more fair justice system for all. Like the Innocence Project in the criminal justice system, Cartiga’s goal is to empower individuals with civil claims to achieve more fair and equitable outcomes, and works to create more transparency in the civil litigation process.

“We are excited to support the Innocence Project not just to be a good corporate citizen. We share in their goal to empower individuals and provide justice in our legal system.” – Charles Platt, Cartiga’s CEO.
